Kathy Schnapp
Project Manager / Prevention Specialist

 

Kathy began working at the The Community Partnership in December of 2003 as the Project Manager in charge of the Education Committee, Student Assistance Network, Coalition for Youth Enrichment and Media.  She also took a turn with Information Sharing Network!  Currently, Kathy is kept busy with the various projects that our youth serving organizations committee, the Coalition for Youth Enrichment (CYE) organizes.  This includes InCahoots, a youth leadership conference, Family Fun Day, Greater Toledo Youth Service Day and CYE Youth  Walk of Fame.  She also helps with professional development as part of the faculty for the Prevention 101 and 201 classes.

Kathy is active in the community as the Secretary to the City of Toledo Youth Commission Board, a member of the Advisory Committee to Double Arc and Partners for Successful Youth. 
Kathy prides herself as “an old fashioned Social Worker” and keeps updated on various resources available to young people and their families.   She implemented a service learning program through her previous work with Connecting Point and has carried her passion for youth-led initiatives to The Community Partnership.

Favorite part about working at The Community Partnership?
I love that around each corner on any given day, a new idea is shared.
It is never boring--there is always something to explore.

What is your biggest accomplishment?
Helping to plan and then surviving two CAPA City Conferences!

A minister or a social worker

Trying to find a hobby--makes for an interesting journey. I do like the
Metroparks and reading
